ANN BRADY

ANN BRADY

I am the Founder and Lead Consultant of Learning Lines.

I began my career in education as an IT trainer in the mid-nineties providing training to corporate organisations, government departments and community education providers. I’ve always loved technology and teaching and have been lucky enough to combine the two over the course of my career. I moved into a management position for a Registered Training Organisation where I broadened my knowledge of vocational education and became highly skilled in the design and development of both accredited and non-accredited training and an expert in Australian Qualifications Training Framework compliance.

Helping others learn through technology became my focal point as digital tools began to emerge, connecting my interest in technology with my passion for teaching and learning. These ideas led to the formation of Learning Lines where I’ve had numerous opportunities to get my hands dirty, creating and building learning.

Now-a-days working with digital tools is a given, and my interest has shifted to creative learning strategies that embed learning in the workflow. To that end I'm now leading and developing geo-dispersed design teams working on large-scale projects.

I’m always on the look out for opportunities so please feel free to connect!

Learning Lines is not just about us but also about our clients. Below are just a few testimonials from some very satisfied customers we have had the pleasure of working with in the past.

Bovis Lend Lease – a leading project management and construction company – partnered with Sydney Community College (and Learning Lines) to map our existing internal staff Environment, Health and Safety competencies to the Certificate IV in OHS through a guided online RPL process. Learning Lines provided expertise in developing elearning resources and specifically the learning management environment. We experienced a very productive and collaborative relationship with Learning Lines, and Ann in particular, and look forward to working with them again.

— Cath Brokenborough, Environment Health and Safety Manager, Elearning resources for Bovis Lend Lease
Learning Lines helped move our Finance for Housekeeping Managers face to face training to an online program. From help gaining grant funding, to the completion of the project, Ann’s input has proven invaluable. She brought to the project an incomparable depth of experience and extensive knowledge, as well as integrity and comprehensive reporting. I highly recommend Ann’s services to any company wanting to develop digital learning and would be happy to provide more detailed information on the results generated from Ann’s excellent input.

— Liz Lycette, Director, Lycette & Associates
Ann Brady has been integral to two projects funded under the Australian Flexible Learning Framework for the Australian Institute of Management NSW & ACT TCL – advising us on strategy, planning, budgeting, technology, learning and assessment design and promotion. Ann produced resources, trained team members and generally made it easy for us to succeed. I found her to be dependable and professional at all times.

— Karen Lee, Team Leader – Curriculum, Australian Institute of Management
With Learning Lines’ adult learning, e-learning and technical skills we developed an exciting blended delivery solution that meets the needs of a target audience that is time poor or had difficulties travelling long distances to training venues. Ann’s know-how and skills – and patient, practical approach – made her the ideal team leader to introduce technology that was new to trainers and learners alike. Our team has learned a lot from working with her and participating in her workshops.

— Kathryn Couttoupes, Project Officer, Adult & Community Education Unit
Sydney Community College has had a successful relationship with Ann Brady for many years. For one recent project, we combined our education expertise with the knowledge of a WHS consultant and the deep experience of Learning Lines to develop an online assessment solution. This exciting project delivered a Certificate IV qualification with an unprecedented 95% success rate. Much of this success can be attributed to the expertly designed user interface and support provided by Learning Lines. I am happy to recommend Learning Lines as an expert partner in online assessment and assessment design.
— Garry Traynor, Principal, Sydney Community College
I engaged Ann to manage the development of our new e-learning capability and was delighted with her ability to drive the project to its desired outcome. Ann is a well organised person who worked well with the team tasked with the development of five nationally accredited units. The units are now up and running and the student feedback has been excellent. I commend her to you.
— Ralph Kober, Assistant Executive Officer, Club Managers Association of NSW
What stands out about Ann’s training style is thorough preparation coupled with willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure her audience understands the material. I was part of an online training group facilitated by Ann Brady at Sydney Community College in 2008. With her depth of knowledge she answered all queries and handled the group dynamics with aplomb. Thanks to this I went from a complete technical newbie to being confident running online groups and planning online training. I was delighted with the process - and with the outcome. Highly recommended.
— Joanna Maxwell, Director, Work In Colour
I was a member of a team of individual training contractors tasked with designing and building an elearning course. Ann Brady from Learning Lines was our project leader and mentor. Starting with a zero knowledge base in the group, she trained and coached us in the art of Moodle making. Ann was a veritable powerhouse of patience, encouragement, persistence, knowledge and great ideas. I am sure we tested her intestinal fortitude and character, but she prevailed; and I am proud of the e-course we made together.
— Geoff Meston, Trainer and Assessor, Club Managers Association of NSW
“It has been a wonderful experience, the webinars, the new technology and the face to face sessions. You have been fantastic and I would highly recommend all of you (and the course) to anyone. Communication, support have all been wonderful (5 stars) in my book.”
Ian Patrick (student)

“I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to participate in training by such skilled trainers and mentors. I will always think back to the information you imparted and will be ever grateful for your positive and influential example. You are exceptional in your generosity and will remain influential models. I can’t praise you and the course more highly.”
Gabby Holden (student)

“The whole session was so professional, yet flexible and very supportive (as were the webinars). I have learnt so much that is already paying off for me as I write some training packages for our team. Thanks again – the result was a great group but I’m sure the work behind the scenes was enormous!”
Kim Gavin (student)

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you both and your enthusiasm, guidance and constant encouragement has certainly assisted me in getting this far!”
Fiona Veld (student)

“The instructions and information was clear and easy to navigate. Through webinars and phone calls we could immediately clarify questions and fine-tune.”
Tracey Ezzy (student)

“Through the webinars, we had to come to know each other’s voices, and a little bit about each other, so it was fantastic to meet the other learners face to face. We had been on a journey together for six months and it was great to come together face to face.”
Kathy T (student)

“Everything from tasks to additional readings were easily accessible and understood. It is a one-stop shop and I like that about the website. It was nice to put faces to names after spending so much time hearing and learning from others during the webinars. It wrapped up the course in a neat package!”
Sandra Luxford (student)

“I loved the webinars and it was amazing to be able to interact with the facilitators and other learners. I look forward to every second Monday. A great way to engage while not missing too much work.”
Donna Badger (student)

“I have always received prompt replies to emails, and to offer very clear support when I’ve had questions regarding assessments. This has exceeded my expectations :) Thanks!”
Michelle Muller (student)

“My confidence has grown since the beginning of the program. I had no idea about lots of this technology prior to this study!”
Amanda Lancaster (student)
